Overview
Proposed refurbishment to Units 9 & 10 The Greens Industrial Estate-
Clean off existing roof, Giromax cover and replace rooflights
Overhaul of the existing rainwater goods
Overhaul of existing internal areas and elevations to repair where necessary
General tidy and overhaul of the internal repairing isolated cladding liner panels
Testing and commissioning of existing services
General office refurbishment
Construction Details
Remove and replace the roof lights
Repair holes, Giromax treatment to the roof sheet edges and apply Giromax coating to the roof sheets
Re-align and re-coat all gutters, re-align all internal and external downpipes
Strip off and replace external side cladding
Carry out repairs to external brickwork
Carry out repair and service to roller shutter doors
Replace existing Timber Personnel doors with powder coated metal doors
Carry out wall repairs to plasterboard and blockwork areas
Sand blasting to concrete warehouse floor
Remove all bolts from floor and carry out repairs thereafter and carry out repairs to existing cracks
Internal re-decorations, including walls, steel frame and cranes
Electrical survey and repairs, including fire alarm and burglar alarm
Ceiling repairs to the office and welfare areas
New floor coverings to the office and welfare areas
Challenges
Works to the roof and unheated areas were carried out during extreme cold and wet weather. We remained vigilant to the programme and continuity throughout
Health and Saftey
The project was complete without RIDDOR accidents and there were no injuries to report the entire construction process
