One of our first completed projects was the cat B office fitout of an office for a financial services company, the vital completion of the project had had been left in jeopardy by the original contractor entering administration and so we negotiated to undertake the works at the same rates as the previous contract.
A high specification office fitout undertaken to 2 floors including the usual expected works i.e; re-modelling of offices, new solid and glass partitions, new ceilings, carpets, toilets, bespoke joinery, new restaurant and new mechanical and electrical installation. The office remodelling was to assist with cost savings and involved the re-location of 2 office into 1 central northern operations hub. Code managed to cost and mobilise our site teams within 5 days of the original contractor leaving site and despite the disruption we still achieved the business-critical handover of one of the floors to allow the new occupants to move in. Our scope of work included the design and installation of mechanical and electrical, bespoke joinery to the restaurant, feature glazed, free standing staircase and several breakout pods throughout the floors.
The project was undertaken on the 1st and 2nd floors, however the ground floor was completely off limit to our teams and so all materials were taken into site through a 1st floor window, this included a bespoke 10m long free standing staircase, which had to be built insitu from the component parts as there was no other way to get it to the 1st floor. The office controls critical data transfers and it is fully operation 24/7/365, fully refurbishing the floors required careful phasing and planning of team moves
